History
Bobbs-Merrill has long- since departed the publishing world, but has left a mark of distinction on the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres. Started in 1850, as a bookselling/ publishing business. In 1900 this U.S. publishing house produced a book from an unknown author named L.Frank Baum, and the book of course was "The Wizard of Oz." More recently, Bobbs- Merrill published Terry Carr's award-winning "Cirque."
