The Jules de Grandin series is not numbered but this is the sixty eighth published story of such.
This novelette is included in the collection The Complete Tales of Jules de Grandin volume 5 "Black Moon".
It first appeared in the June, 1938 Issue of Weird Tales, available free on Internet Archives.
