Synopsis
In a near future where the world is divided into two rival hemispheric states, one of four special nuclear subs is surrounded by dolphins and destroyed. What force has turned these peaceful creatures against Man as he teeters on the brink of nuclear holocaust, only the govemment's reluctant ally, delphinologist John Pearson, has even a hope of finding out.
The ocean boils with the primordial conflict of dolphins and killer whales as Dr. Pearson struggles for the answer that may cost him his sanity if not his life. Something more important than the human race hangs in the balance as the most intelligent mammals of the sea plunge Man into a crisis that spreads from the bottom of the ocean into earth orbit-and beyond...
