Synopsis
WFA nominated novelette. It originally appeared in the anthology Cold Shocks (1991) edited by Tim Sullivan. The story can also be found in the anthologies The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror: Fifth Annual Collection (1992), edited by Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling, and Mothership: Tales from Afrofuturism and Beyond (2013), edited by Bill Campbell and Edward Austin Hall.
