Synopsis
Nebula and Sturgeon Award nominated short story. It originally appeared in Omni, August 1986. The story can be found in the anthologies The 1987 Annual World's Best SF, edited by Donald A. Wollheim and Arthur W. Saha, Future Earths: Under African Skies (1993), edited by Gardner Dozois and Mike Resnick, Omni Visions Two (1994), edited by Ellen Datlow, and Feeling Very Strange: The Slipstream Anthology (2006), edited by James Patrick Kelly and John Kessel. It is included in the collections All About Strange Monsters of the Recent Past (1987), and Things Will Never Be the Same: Selected Short Fiction, 1980 - 2005 (2007).
