Synopsis
From a land lost in the mists of time, in a realm of myth and magic, where legendary heroes fought undying foes in ultimate battles of good and evil, comes the story of a proud and indomitable people and a magnificent nation whose birth was foretold by the darkest visions and the direst prophecies.
It is the story of Conaire Mor, the bastard son of Ireland's highest king and fated to be her greatest leader; Ulster's outcast queen Meave, willful daughter of the mysterious Sidhe; the powerful and spiteful King Conchobar, a man obsessed with his own might; Sentanta, the fearless young warrior of the notorious Red Branch; and the high-druid Calatin, whose twisted magic and dark cunning threatens them all.
Here, woven into a rich magical tapestry is the never-before-told story of ancient Ireland... a spellbinding tale of love and intrique, lust, and murder, rivalry and quest... of a time and a place long ago and far away that lives forever in out deepest fantasies.
