Veteran Posts: 214 | Do you consider self-published books for inclusion? I have a series of books by a friend of mine who sells on Amazon that I would be interested in reading for the Women of Genre Fiction challenge this year. Her name is A.M. Offenwanger and the series is called "The Septimus Series." The books are "Seventh Son," "Cat and Mouse," and "Checkmate."

Offenwanger and the series is called "The Septimus Series." The books are "Seventh Son," "Cat and Mouse," and "Checkmate." The short answer is no. The longer answer is in the FAQ that I'll quote here: Currently, fiction can be added to the WWEnd database if it falls into one or more of the following categories:
So there are rare occasions that a self-pubbed book can get in - award nomination or established author's books - but the emphasis is on traditionally-published books.

When the Floods Came by Clare Morrall The Book of Joan by Lidia Yuknavitch The Power by Naomi Alderman Heartstone by Elle Katharine White These are all in. I find it interesting that two teacher/writers, on opposite side of the world, are both coming out with post-apocalyptic works. I guess it says something about the times.

The series I am going to be reading are: Heir Chronicles: 1. The Warrior Heir (2006) 2. The Wizard Heir (2007) 3. The Dragon Heir (2008) 4. The Enchanter Heir (2013) 5. The Sorcerer Heir (2014) Seven Realms 1. The Demon King (2009) 2. The Exiled Queen (2010) 3. The Gray Wolf Throne (2011) 4. The Crimson Crown (2012) Sorry there are so many.

Heir Chronicles: Seven Realms These are in. I also put in the first two books in the Shattered Realms series since it's in the Seven Realms universe. Also, with this sort of fantasy, I have little idea how to mark it's sub-genre tags, so If you (and everyone else who read them) will mark that, it'll help everyone find similar works.
