Random quote: "The frailty of everything revealed at last. Old and troubling issues resolved into nothingness and night. The last instance of a thing takes the class with it. Turns out the light and is gone. Look around you. Ever is a long time. But the boy knew what he knew. That ever is no time at all." - Cormac McCarthy (The Road) - (Added by: Emil) |

Member Posts: 12 | So I think I requested this a few months ago but I can't find it if i I did... I've got a copy of Cindy Pon's "Silver Phoenix" I'd like to count towards my Spec Fic Authors of Color challenge; can this be added? I believe there's also a sequel, "Fury of the Phoenix."

New User Posts: 3 | I believe that this is where I go to ask for additions? Hi, this is my first post. I am pleasantly surprised at some of the books on here and surprised at some of the books not on here. Overall a good list of books. these are books I want to and plan on reading at some point and it would be cool if they were added to the database. I might read them regardless and perhaps some other readers might as well. You have these Authors already in Database except you don't have these books of theirs. Isaac Asimov All the books have stories elsewhere but These are good collections. The Best of Isaac Asimov (1973) The Complete Robot (1982) The Best Science Fiction of Isaac Asimov (1986) The Asimov Chronicles: Fifty Years of Isaac Asimov (1989) Holly Black The Spiderwick Chronicles (one of her most popular book series) Murray Leinster First Contacts: The Essential Murray Leinster (1995) Has many of his award winning stories Tanith Lee Indigara: Or, Jet and Otis Conquer the World (2007) Sees like it would be a good YA novel. Gregory Maguire Dickens: The Story of a Rogue Tooth Fairy (2007) Daniel H Wilson Where's My Jetpack?: A Guide to the Amazing Science Fiction Future that Never Arrived (2007) A Boy and His Bot (2011) Seems Like it would be a good young adult novel. You have several Children's Classics except these Wizard of Oz Series by L Frank Baum, but you do have Oz Reimaged. Peter Pan J.M. Barrie Neverland and Oz deserve a place next to Narnia, Wonderland, and the place in Wind in the Willows. Also I have recently read Influx (2014) by Daniel Suarez. which is either Sci Fi or a techno thriller with Sci Fi elements. Anyway those are my suggestions I bring to the table for addition if possible. I'm sure I'll have more at some point. But I don't want to over do it in my first post.

Just wondering if my post was actually looked at or not. Books are added to the database by our Uber User volunteers. There is no schedule or requirement on their time and they come in and out as their personal time/inspiration/pleasure permits. Right now we're in a bit of a lull because of summer vacations and school gearing back up etc. I can't give you any kind of estimate but your requests will be gotten to by and by.

How do you become a Uber User volunteer? No problem. We picked our Uber Users from amongst our long term members who actively participate in the site through the forum and the blog and their reviews etc. and who have shown a desire to help make WWEnd a better resource for the genre community. We intend to expand the ranks again in the future with more invitations but we haven't set a time table for it yet.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 556 Location: Great Lakes, USA | Can someone add Moon of Three Rings by Andre Norton? I want that one for the Read It Again, Sam Challenge. I read it the first time when I was in 5th grade, and just recently bought a copy. That was the second science fiction book that I had ever read and I'd like to read it again for the challenge. Thanks!!

Uber User Posts: 1465 Location: The Netherlands | illegible_scribble, you're listing a number of books that won't be out for a bit. We could add some of them but for many the cover art, synopsis, excerpts and/or links to amazon en audible would be missing. It is a bit of a pain to have to go back over them again once the info becomes available so we'd prefer to add them closer to the publication date. I added the Gladstone and the Wexler. May have time to do a few more this afternoon.
