Friesner has been added to the new authors list. Thanks for the request. We'll get it in as soon as we can.
Melissa Scott is already in our database so you can add her to your challenge but we've only got 2 books from her. I've added the others to the list and we'll get them added ASAP.
Don deal. We just posted her 6 book Nightrunners series with Luck in the Shadows. Happy reading!
Hey Rhonda, your book in on our list to be added. I'll try and get a few more of her books while I'm at it. Is that book about Conan O'Brian perchance?

New User Posts: 1 | Hi, I just finished my first book for the Women in Genre challenge, and you don't have it in your database: Catseye, by Andre Norton. Can you let me know when it's added? I wrote a post on my blog, so I can link it any time. Thanks!!! And yes, you do have your work cut out for you.....so many good women writers out there!

Looking at this thread, I feel like I'm piling on, but I've been meaning to request The Collected Stories of Carol Emshwiller, Vol. 1 (and I'll second the call for Alif the Unseen). Now working on a post about Charlotte Perkins Gilman...

New User Posts: 4 | Some more requests, all POC/non-white authors, no particular rush for me: Karin Lowachee -- she's already in your database, but you're missing Burndive (which is book #2 of a trilogy; you already have books #1 & #3) and The Gaslight Dogs. Michelle Sagara -- you don't have any books by her, under any of her names (Michelle Sagara, Michelle West, and Michelle Sagara West). The first books of her various series are Into the Dark Lands, Hunter's Oath, The Broken Crown, The Hidden City, Cast in Shadow, and Silence. Alaya Dawn Johnson -- you don't have any books by her; the first novels in her series are Racing the Dark, Moonshine, and, coming out this year, The Summer Prince. Nisi Shawl -- not in your database; her only book to date is the short story collection Filter House. Larissa Lai -- not in your database; When Fox is a Thousand and Salt Fish Girl. Angelica Gorodischer -- an Argentinian author not in your database; thus far her only book translated into English is Kalpa Imperial, but she has another coming out in a couple weeks from Small Beer Press called Trafalgar. Cynthia Leitich Smith -- though she writes mostly realistic YA, Tantalize is an urban fantasy novel. Edited by PhoenixFalls 2013-01-17 12:48 AM

Member Posts: 7 | I'm not really sure if she would be classed as a fantasy author or a writer of historical novels, but I wondered if Jean M. Auel could be added to the list for her Earths Children books, eg Clan of the Cave Bear etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_M._Auel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth%27s_Children

Melissa Scott has a fantasy series which I'd love to see added: Point of Hopes (with Lisa Barnett) Point of Knives Point of Dreams (also with Lisa Barnett) She also co-wrote "Lost Things" with Jo Graham. Could that be added as well? (Sorry! I meant this as a reply to the Melissa Scott entry posted above. Still learning my way around.) Also, could Andrea K. Hst "And All the Stars" be added? I have a review ready. Edited by Ann Walker 2013-01-19 10:44 AM

Admin Posts: 4003 Location: Dallas, Texas | More books than you can shake a stick at... Jody Lynn Nye Patricia Bray Faith Hunter Kim Harrison Eowyn Ivey Thanks to jynnanntonnyx for the data entry. @burninglove: I think Jean M. Auel is considered historical fiction but if you want me to add them I'm cool with that. We bend the genre rules all over the place. What say you all? Anybody else want to weigh in on Auel? @Ann Walker: I've added those books to the to do list and I'll try and get And All the Stars up in the next couple days so you can tag it and post your review. @JDowds: The Diviners in on the to do list now.
