Veteran Posts: 111 Location: Austin, Tx | Not sure if this one counts as appropriate for the database, but I've just started reading (for the Tie-In Challenge): Eclipse Phase: After The Fall edited by James Gates and Rob Boyle published by Posthuman Studios on January 6, 2015 it is a book of short stories set in the Eclipse Phase universe and has stories by some known names ( Ken Liu, Madeline Ashby, Fran Wilde, Karin Lowachee, Wesley Schneider, and Andrew Penn Romine)

New User Posts: 4 Location: Ireland | Hi, It would be great to see the following added: The Turing Test - Chris Beckett The Peacock Cloak - Chris Beckett The Ghost Hunters - Neil Spring The Watchers - Neil Spring There are a number of Chris Beckett's novels already in the DB, just not the two story collections mentioned. Neil Spring is a fairly new author. His first novel (Ghost Hunters) has already been made into a film in the UK, and I'd not be surprised to see The Watchers up for (something like) the James Herbert Award this year. Thanks in advance

Uber User Posts: 857 Location: The Wilds of Washington | Ann Walker - 2016-01-14 4:50 AM Could you add the three books in Kate Mosse's "Languedoc" series? They are "Labyrinth", "Sepulchre", and "Citadel". Also, Melissa Scott and Jo Graham have a new book in their "Order of the Air" series, "Oath Bound". Could you also add Genevieve Gogman's "The Invisible Library" (published in the UK last year, due here this summer) and "The Wrath and the Dawn" by Renee Ahdieh? Thanks much. Mosse is in. Oath Bound is only a Kindle at the moment. Keep an eye on it and when it gets a paper version, ask for it again. Invisible Library and its sequel is in. The Wrath and the Dawn is in, along with it's sequel due out in a few months.

Convergence - this one is not (yet) out in paper book format. The first two are in. The third doesn't seem to be out at all, at least stateside. Not even in the databases as to be published soon. Please repost your request when it does have papery copies about. Edited by gallyangel 2016-01-23 11:42 PM

Uber User Posts: 857 Location: The Wilds of Washington | Its surely a sign of something (probably an apocalypse) but there are now 141 books returned with the search Star Trek and 141 returned with a Star Wars search. This kicker is that I think were over half way on the Star Wars but not yet to the half way point for Star Trek. Goals. Got'a love'm.

This kicker is that I think were over half way on the Star Wars but not yet to the half way point for Star Trek. Goals. Got'a love'm. Last year when I started entering the Star Trek books in, I think I counted over 600 on ISFDB (I had to copy and paste into a spreadsheet, then eliminate all the omnibuses, anthologies, and short fiction). Around the 129-book mark I decided to take a break and work on our other projects, like the Aurealis, Prometheus, Tiptree, and WFA awards. I've got all the covers for the following Star Trek subseries saved, (plus parts of other subseries): A Time To... Well done on the Star Wars books -- I don't think we had more than a couple in to begin with, and that was not so long ago.

So, we're only about a quarter, huh? I would've guessed a third. Do you still have that spreadsheet? I'd like a copy.

Admin Posts: 4003 Location: Dallas, Texas | Just FYI for those keeping score: We are 40 books shy of 17,000 in the DB at the moment! I suspect we'll have that covered in a few days - perhaps with Star Trek books Ya'll are awesome!

These six are now in. The Van Gores has stellar reviews. To bad she died early so it's a one hit wonder which is very expensive and long out-of-print according to amazon.

But then my brother tracked down a (signed!) copy for me and gave it to me for Christmas. I'm in the middle of reading it right now, and so far it's very good. No idea who the rightsholder for the book is, but hopefully it gets rereleased someday--perhaps as an ebook?--so that it can reach a wider audience.

Veteran Posts: 144 Location: Fort Myers, Florida USA | Amen, Brother And for 17,001 please add A Matter for Men (War Against the Chtorr #1) by David Gerrold. It looks to be perhaps the winner of a poll for a group read on another website, and also appears to be the first in a series. Edited by spectru 2016-02-01 5:23 PM

Member Posts: 15 | Hi, there! I'm participating in the Women of Genre Fiction challenge and one of my most recent reads/authors is missing from the database. I'm hoping I might be able to get her and her titles added to the database for the challenge... Jacey Bedford: Winterwood (Rowankind book 1) Empire of Dust (Psi-Tech) Crossways (Psi-Tech)
