Hi everyone! We're squarely into year end list season and there's been a lot of great SF/F/H published this year. What have been some of your favorites that you don't want other people to miss?

My favorites for this year were Edges by Linda Nagata, A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine and Dogs of War by Adrian T. (even though the last wasn't published in 2019, I really liked this one.)

I am looking forward to reading Silver, the sequel to Edges.

Of the ones that I read that were published this year I loved The Raven Tower by Ann Leckie, Ghost Wall by Sarah Moss, Wanderers by Chuck Wendig, and The Toll by Cherie Priest.

Not published this year, but of things I read this year I really can't recommend Vita Nostra by Marina and Sergey Dyachenko enough. We Sold Our Souls by Grady Hendrix was fun, especially if you are familiar with rock music pre-1995. And if you ever need middle grade recs for kids in your life, the Morrigan Crow series by Jessica Townsend is a delight.

A Memory Called Empire keeps coming up in my recommendations. I'm excited to check it out!
