Biography
Douglas Niles is the author of more than 50 books and dozens of articles. His books range from the fantasy, science fiction, and alternate history genres to his most recent title: the nonfiction We Were Berliners: From Weimar to the Wall, a combination memoir and popular history. Over the years he has written about many factual topics, including military and American history, with an emphasis on the 20th century. As a game designer for TSR/SPI, he produced dozens of products, and won 4 national awards for miniatures rules and modern military boardgames. He lives in Delavan, Wisconsin.
