Biography
Jason W. Ellis leverages his interdisciplinary research on the intersection of digital technology and the human brain in 20th/21st-century American literature and popular culture to inspire and improve his pedagogical approaches to teaching rhetoric, multimodal composition, technical communication, critical theory, and digital literacy. He takes pride from collaborating with others to innovate digital pedagogies, and leading workshops on those approaches for colleagues. In addition to his coedited collection The Postnational Fantasy: Postcolonialism, Cosmopolitics and Science Fiction (Jefferson, NC: McFarland, 2011), he has shared his writing in scholarly and popular publications, including The Wellsian, Configurations, Science Fiction Studies, Extrapolation, The Journal for the Fantastic in the Arts, and Locus.
