Biography
David M. Miller, Professor Emeritus of English at Purdue University, earned a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Minnesota, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis. After teaching Jr. and Sr. high school in the Minneapolis area, he was an instructor at Mankato State University for two years, then taught at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana from 1966-98, when he retired to Sarasota, Florida.
Miller's teaching, though focused in the British Renaissance, particularly the works of poet John Milton, later expanded to the Bible as Literature, Fantasy and Science Fiction, J.R.R. Tolkien, Frank Herbert, and Literary Theory.
