Biography
Denise Vitola also writes under the pen name of Denny DeMartino
Denise has the talent to blend esoteric ideas with myth, legend and mystery to create worlds where the impossible seems possible. Her memorable characters are charismatic and yet, the readers can easily relate to the weave of their emotional lives as they follow the threads of their stories. Her novel, OPALITE MOON, the second in her popular Ty Merrick Mystery Series was nominated for the prestigious Philip K. Dick Award for Excellence in Science Fiction. This series was optioned by Universal Studios to be made into a television show.
Denise has written 12 novels and has been an editor and creative writing teacher for 35 years. Denise was the Editor-in-Chief of the Emporium Gazette, an ezine devoted to the art and craft of writing and she is currently the Executive Editor for Cool Well Press and Tempest Press.
Her short stories have appeared in such magazines as AMAZING STORIES, the best selling anthology, FORGOTTEN REALMS--The Realms of Infamy, SHADOW STREET, and the upcoming anthology, TIMELESS.
