Biography
Vin Suprynowicz (born c. 1950) is an American libertarian author who edits the editorial pages for the Las Vegas, Nevada-based Las Vegas Review-Journal. He has published two volumes of nonfiction essays on the philosophy of law and society, as well a science fiction novel.
Suprynowicz was born in Connecticut near the start of the Post-World War II baby boom. He graduated from Wesleyan University in 1972 with a degree in art and a concentration in filmmaking. He started his newspaper career writing on a part-time basis before becoming a reporter, a news editor, then a managing editor, editor-in-chief, and publisher at various news publications.
In 2000 he appeared on the ballot in Arizona as the vice-presidential candidate of the Libertarian Party with L. Neil Smith as the presidential candidate. Suprynowicz is also a member and supporter of the Free State Project and is a regular contributor to Shotgun News magazine.
