Biography
Tony Daniel is a science fiction writer and author of Guardian of Night, Metaplanetary, Superluminal and short stories such as "A Dry, Quiet War." He is also the author of Star Trek novel Devil's Bargain and the coauthor, with David Drake, of The Heretic.
He is also an editor at the science fiction and fantasy publisher, Baen Books.
Daniel was born and raised in Alabama in the U.S. He's lived in Prague, St. Louis, on Vashon Island in Washington State, and in New York City. He attended Birmingham-Southern College, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Southern California Cinema and Television program and the Clarion West Writer's Workshop.
He's had multiple stories in "Year's Best" anthologies, one of which, "Life on the Moon," won the Asimov's Reader's Poll Award for year's best story and was nominated for a Hugo.
