Biography
I'm the author of more than a dozen novels in the supernatural and detective genres, and often combine the two. My latest two books, the Helsinki-based chiller "Under The Ice" and my dark fantasy epic "Hot Blood" are currently out from Samhain Publishing. My shorteter work has appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine, Asimov's SF, The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Weird Tales and numerous to anthologies... enough of it to fill up seven short story collections, many of them available from Dark Regions/Dark renaissance Press. Widely traveled, I frequently use places I have visited in my work, with fiction set all over North and South America, through the whole of Europe, in North and southern Africa and in the Far East. My self-published E-books include a huge collection of my best short horror fiction, and the latest in my series of fantasy thrillers set in the fictional town of Raine's Landing Massachusetts. My Debut novel "The Harvest Bride" (Tor Books) was a finalist for the Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel, and in 2008 my collection "Going Back" was shortlisted for the British Fantasy Award.
