Biography
George Robert Acworth Conquest, CMG, OBE, FBA, FAAAS, FRSL, FBIS – known as Robert Conquest – was an Anglo-American historian and poet, notable for his influential works of Soviet History which include The Great Terror: Stalin's Purges of the 1930's, (1968, 4th ed., 2008). He was a research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institute.
