I wanted to read this prior to seeing the new "Rogue One" movie, mostly because my husband is cosplaying as Orson Krennic, the antagonist. Definitely not a prerequisite to the movie, but I liked having some knowledge of the shared histories of Krennic and Galen Erso, the oppenheimer-esque protagonist. Would only recommend for the hardest-core fans.
[This is the first Star Wars book I have listened to as an audio book. Jonathan Davis did a great job with the voices. I could have done without all the weird sound effects.]
