This book, though. I am a very hard sell for dystopian/zombie books, but god this was good. The world building is absolutely stunning, the characters are wonderfully fleshed out, and the plot is awesomely twisty. Grant pulls no punches with her world, sticks by her rules, and brings the brutality of a post-infection world to life in a way that I have seen nowhere else, but she also builds this sense of hope into her story that makes the misery seem less bleak than other genre entries like The Walking Dead. Possibly my favorite Halloween read of the year.
