Let's get one thing straight, Richard Laymon writes dirty books. If sex bothers you as a reader, he is not the author for you. Because his books contain sex, a lot of it.
In his novel Amara: To Wake the Dead, Mr. Laymon managed to include a mummy story, a kidnapping, a stalker story, teenage runnaways, and a blind girl living alone as separate stories that come together in a rather abrupt ending. This is the second novel I have read of Mr. Laymon. Amara has a high and bloody body count, so reader beware.
