Enchanted

I wish I could have liked this more than I did. The characters were entertaining, and some of the writing was beautiful, lyrical, and witty. On the other hand, it seemed choppy, as if bits were being tossed in as set-up for future novels in the series, without really being integrated smoothly into the current plot. And a surprising amount of telling-not-showing.
