Worthy but rather turgid post-apocalyptic account of environmental disaster and religious extremism. In attacking what are now rather easy targets it treats it's characters as disposable objects. It becomes 'just one damned atrocity after another'. The Handmaid's Tale did it so much better.
The multiple points of view don't work. Neither does the new age religion replete with bad poetry.
