Rendezvous with Rama

Rendezvous with Rama is one of those must read SF books. One of the classic first-contact books in the genre. The hard science behind his plot-lines makes it a most believable novel. The real question is did the book stand up to all the hype--and in my opinion it did so with flying colors.
