Excellent. As artfully written a book as I have read in a long time.

The secret about this book, and a thing that makes it a little special, is the narrator. I won't spoil it by telling you who the narrator is. Before they released the movie, they didn't reveal the name of the actor whose voice was the narrator. It was all the buzz among readers who had read the book. "Who will play the narrator?"

The Book Thief hasn't won fantasy awards and it's not on any WWE fantasy lists because, I think perhaps, it's not widely regarded as being in the fantasy genre. Classifying it as a fantasy mudt be based on the identity of the narrator.
