An engrossing entry in the Saga of the Skolian Empire
Asaro's Skolian Empire books each generally tend to focus on two or three different themes. This one especially touches on the complex issues behind self-worth and self-esteem, drug addiction, sexual preference, and societal and familial disapproval of homosexuality.
As with the other books, contains some mildly erotic love scenes which you may wish to skip (as I do) if you find they don't enhance the story for you.
A worthy entry into the series.
