Portent

I am a big fan of James Herbert. Portent is the book of his that I like the least. It is a very apocalyptic type book with many stories woven in that tell of disaster occuring all over the globe. The main character is intersting as are some of the lesser characters. Overall I did not enjoy the stories of disaster, but much of the main story I liked.

It is strange to me as this was the first book by James Herbert I ever read. Reading this review as I write it I find it amazing that I book I did not enjoy all that much is by an author I have come to love reading and look forward to every book of his I have not yet read.
