Shrine

This a good James Herbert story. Set in the countryside and focusing on a church where strange things are happening. There are several main characters some of whom meet with a grisly end.

Midway through the book there is a horrifying event of destruction when there is a massive explosion. The book build nicely to this. I was caught off guard by this event. The descriptions are very real.

Another James Herbert book that I really enjoyed. I really enjoy his style and will read all of his novels.
