Nekropolis

Given the humongous spate of Walking Dead-type of zombie movies and novels out there, it's pretty refreshing for one to come along that pretty much has nothing in common with any of them. Nekropolis is essentially your typical urban fantasy, thrown into a cement mixer with about a ton of Forumla Macabre added and mixed together.

Matt Richter is the only sentient zombie in existence, the result of a freak accident that killed him when he was one of the few humans in this dimension where Nekropolis exists, a dimension parallel to Earth. Utilizing his skills as a police officer from his life on Earth, he becomes a private investigator. Then one day, Devona, a half vampire curator of a museum who loses a powerful, ancient artifact approaches him for help to recover it. It's up to Matt Richter to recover this legendary weapon before it is used to bring the entire realm apart.
