Footfall

I love this book, although it is overly long in places it is a great treatment on the mankind overcomes all plot. Some of the great ideas are only just being picked up on by DARPA. This book stands alone, no series here or sequel. In a way similair to both the V TV series and Independence Day, an alien invasion proceeds mankind collective butts are kicked, follows a time of plotting and planning and viola, I won't spoil the end, but the climax is great!
