The main thing to understand about this book about a 23-year journey to another solar system is that it's NOT, in fact, a book about a 23-year journey to another solar system. It's about the psychological journey required to join and actually take the first step to begin that journey and the mental adjustments required once you've launched this mission you've spent your entire life preparing for and imagination becomes reality.

And that's an interesting book, but it's a slightly different kind of book than the one you'd expect from the blurb, I think. I liked it, but I'd like that other book better.
