Let's Go Play at the Adams'

I should know better. It seems like when a book gets tons of hype, it invariably let's me down. This book may have been horrifying and shocking when published in 1974 but it does not live up to the fiction produced today. While I found the torture and psychologic behavior of the children to be realistic enough, I feel the outcome was not at all realistic. Not meaning to spoild anything, I will say that there is no way that 5 kids under 17 could possibly hold their stories together enough to pass police scrutiny.
