The Saint of Bright Doors

An interesting mix of dystopian SF, portal fantasy, and demon horror.

A young boy is stripped from a part of his humanity and trained to be a weapon whose purpose is to one day assassinate the leader of a twisted religious cult who also happens to be his mother. As he grows and experiences the world he finds that his goals dont align with his vengeful mother's anymore. In an ever-changing and confusing world of devils, monsters and doorways to other realities, Fetter seeks to unchain himself from his past.

Original and highly entertaining, this book was more about the journey than the destination, not really sticking the landing for me but definitely worth reading.
