The Name of the Wind

I know I'm very late to the party on this, but holy hell this is a magnificent book. Great characters and plot in an interesting world and depicted by some utterly magnificent prose. This is firmly in the 'I would kill to write prose half this good' category, and there were several times I genuinely teared up just from how utterly gorgeous the images that Rothfuss paints are. And the story itself is so striking, playing well into a number of tropes but also utterly unique in a number of ways, that I was completely engrossed from start to finish. I know the trilogy is infamously yet to be finished, but if the second book is as good as this, I'll be a very happy man.
