Wicked

This was my 2nd time through this novel and I chose to do it via Audible. That gave me a lot more time for the political (i.e. tyranny, theocracy) and social (i.e. appearance tropes, racism, acceptance) intricacies to sink in. As a huge fan of the original Oz books, it was great to see a more sympathic portrayal of the Wicked Witch and, what I believe to be, a more honest assessement of the so called Great Wizard.
