What a strange book. At first it's just a run of the mill medical scifi type tale. Then it starts about 100 pages in. And goes overboard so freaking fast. It morphs into a really bizarre imaginative tale of the end of the world essentially. Entirely new characters emerge and the narrative essentially switches sides. It was very enjoyable and I read it basicallly in two sittings.
