Never Let Me Go

I think maybe I have read this book before, but if I did, I never rated or reviewed it on any of the many book sites I am part of. I know I have never seen the movie. So I guess I went into this book blind, but I just had this niggling feeling that I knew this story. Don't get me wrong, I was still moved by it. I found it depressing and very sad, like the stories about people on the Titanic. You know the story is not going to end well, but still find it next to impossible to set it down. The feelings of hopelessness that pervades this novel is hard to accept. Watching the Donors experience the stages of grief for their own death was extremely hard to experience in this book. I wonder if there was some kind genetic shenanigans going on with the Donors because they seem to accept their lot with so little hostility.
