Another solid entry in the series. I like the lead character, Hutch, and the "Academy's" archeological focus on Alien artifacts. Although the first book had her as a young woman in her 20's, the 2nd book jumped forward 20 years, and the 3rd another 6 years. Now we have a much more interesting (and far too rare) mature woman in her 40's. Some of the "dire straits" Hutch finds herself in due to her passengers' incredibly stupid/risky decisions are a bit far fetched. That said, the cast of characters, as well as the rescues hold enough suspense and action to keep me reading (and moving along the rest of this series).
