A near-ripoff novelization of the 1958 B sci-fi moviie "The Blob", it was later interpreted as a Cold War story, which for me is a real stretch (pun intended). Still, it's very short, a novella by today's standards, and it's cheesy good fun. Worth a quick read, but don't look for anything literary or deep in it.
