Vessel

This is a good book, but I wish it had been a great book. While the plot is coherent, it's fairly predictable, there's a lot of foreshadowing and telegraphing of what's to come, which lessens the mystery and surprise of the eventual reveals, and the characters don't seem to be fully three-dimensional.

However, this is a debut novel worth reading, and the author will be one to watch.
