A detailed and emotionally powerful story about a man brought back from the remote Antarctic where he died during Scott's race to the South Pole.
The story explores the challenges of both the scientific team and the rescued man himself in orienting to the new experiences and conditions of a world the man could not even imagine.
It is an engrossing read, but I was a bit disappointed by the ending, as I felt the author missed an obvious, powerful conclusion that had been built up micely throughout the story.
